Project Name:
Hill Road Storm Water Sewer Pipe Project 2018
General Description:
The Work included in this project is cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining. This process begins by cleaning the existing pipeline prior to installation of a new liner which has a smooth interior. The materials used in the installation process include an industrial grade felt tube with an impermeable membrane and a resin which hardens and gives strength to the liner. After installation is complete, curing and hardening of the liner is accomplished by applying heat with hot water or pressurized steam. The result of the CIPP process is that within the existing pipe a new pipe is formed with a generally expected service life of 50 years.
